Something Built started with a simple observation: the pieces that make a wedding photo are the heavy, custom things nobody can order in a box, and nobody around here was building them.

Cole Curtis builds every piece. He runs KDC Construction in Columbia, and the arches, walls and poles we rent come out of the same shop and the same hands as his construction work. He draws each one before he cuts anything, which is why you’re looking at his drawings on this site while the photos are on the way.

Jesse Haynes, from Spring Hill, runs the other half: this site, bookings, and making sure the price you see is the price you pay.

What We Believe About Rentals

You should see the price before you ask for it.
You should know whether a piece is free on your date without waiting on an email.
The people who built it should be the ones who set it up.
A piece should be heavy enough to stand in the wind and good enough to stand next to.
