Something Built
How it works

From Your Date to Monday Pickup

The whole thing, start to finish, with nothing hidden in a contract you see later.

  1. Pick Your Pieces and Your Date

Start with a package or build a list from the collection. Choose a date and every piece shows whether it’s free that weekend.

  2. Hold It With Half

A 50% retainer books your date and takes those pieces off the calendar for everyone else. The card you use is saved for the balance.

  3. Sign the Rental Agreement

One page, signed online. It covers the terms below, nothing else.

  4. The Balance Pays Itself

Fourteen days before your wedding we charge the rest to the saved card and email you a receipt. That leaves time to sort out an expired card.

  5. We Deliver and Set Up

Thursday or Friday, we bring everything and set it where you or your planner want it. Picking up? Come to the shop in Columbia on Thursday.

  6. We Pick Up Monday

Leave it where it stands. We take it down, haul it home, and check every piece.

Online booking with instant checkout opens this winter. Until then, steps one and two happen by email: send an inquiry and we’ll send a quote with a payment link.

The fine print, in plain words

Rental Terms

Retainer50% of the order total, non-refundable, due at booking. Your date isn’t held until it’s paid. Booking inside 14 days of the event? The full amount is due at booking.
BalanceCharged automatically to the card on file 14 days before your event. We email a receipt.
Rental WindowThursday out, Monday back. One weekend price, not a daily rate. For a weekday wedding, pieces go out the day before and come back the day after.
Damage Waiver8% of the rental total on every order. It covers normal wear, scuffs and the small things that happen at a wedding. Damage past normal wear, or a missing piece, is charged to the card on file, which you authorize in the agreement.
DeliveryIncluded in Zone 1 (up to 30 miles from Columbia) on any delivered order. Zone 2 is a flat $125, Zone 3 a flat $225. Farther than that, we’ll quote it. See delivery zones.
Minimums$150 for pickup orders, $400 for delivered orders, in rentals before tax.
Sales Tax9.75% Tennessee and Maury County sales tax on rentals and on delivery and setup. Tennessee taxes delivery on a rental even when it’s a separate line.
Pickup OrdersPick up Thursday at our shop in Columbia and bring it back Monday. Bring a truck or trailer that fits the piece; we’ll help you load it and show you how it goes together.
Setup and SafetyLight poles and large arches stand on ballast bases; we never stake into a venue’s ground. If wind makes a piece unsafe, our crew decides where it can stand. Nothing gets climbed, hung from or sat on unless it’s built for it.
Final ChangesAdd pieces any time they’re free on your date. You can remove pieces until the balance is charged, 14 days before the event; removing them doesn’t lower the retainer already paid. After that the order is final.
QuotesA quote is good for 14 days. It doesn’t hold anything until the retainer is paid (planners can ask for a 72-hour hold).
PhotosWe may share photos of our pieces from your event. If you’d rather we didn’t, say so and we won’t.
